Week 2            June 22 - June 26
Blooming Beauties
Flowers are blooming around us everywhere. Come and see which other creatures are attracted to their beauty. Find out how flowers grow and help us look after our flower gardens at school. Then create your own flowers with different materials.

Week 3           June 29 – July 2
From Coast to Coast
Are you fascinated by our fifty states? Let’s take a trip from East to West by our imaginary train and then sail to Alaska and Hawaii. Learn about the states, big cities, lakes, rivers and mountains on our journey.

Week 4            July 6 – July 10
Bake Your Bread
Nothing tastes better than freshly baked bread. This week we will find out more about the ingredients of good and healthy bread and we will bake a different type of loaf each day. We are going to visit the Mill City Museum to learn about the history of this basic staple.

Week 5            July 13 – July 17

Playing ball is always fun. Instructional skillbased classes will be held, followed by a simple practice afterwards. Put on your most comfortable shoes and you may bring your own ball. Try out our fantastic soccer field!

Week 6            July 20 - July 24
Spanish, Spanish, Spanish
Throughout the summer we have been learning Spanish, and we know you can speak a lot of Spanish words by now. This week, you can practice all week long with your teachers and friends as we learn some South American games.

Why is the weather changing all the time? Do you like scientific experiments? We will make snow, tornados and create a rainbow. We will figure out why it’s so hot or cold sometimes, where hurricanes come from and why there might be hail in the summer.

Week 9           August 10 – August 14
Planetariums
A Planetarium is a theater built for presenting shows about astronomy and the night sky. You will have a stellar experience learning about our Solar System and its planets during this week. We are planning to visit the new Planetarium and Space Discovery Center.
